I'm an integrative life and business coach based in Charlotte, NC. I've spent over 25 years building businesses, helping other women build theirs, and learning — sometimes the hard way — what it actually takes to build something that lasts without losing yourself in the process.
I started in fitness and wellness. Then added life and business coaching. Then professional organizing and productivity consulting. Different industries, different clients, different challenges.
But there was always the same thread running underneath: the women I worked with were capable, smart, heart-centered — and running on empty. They had built real things. They were proud of what they'd created. And they were quietly drowning in it.
I was too.
I've hit the wall. I know what it costs — to your health, your relationships, your sense of self, your joy in the work you started because you loved it. And I know that the standard advice — delegate more, take a vacation, set better boundaries — doesn't touch the real problem.
Most women who own service-based businesses started because they had a gift they wanted to share. What nobody taught us was how to run a business sustainably — how to grow without grinding, lead without losing ourselves, and build something that actually fits who we are, not just who we were when we started.
That's the gap I work in.
Not perfect. Not effortless. But good — solid, sustainable, and yours.
I believe that self-care isn't a reward you earn after the work is done. It's part of the work. When we get so caught up in running our businesses and taking care of everyone else that we forget to take care of ourselves — we're not building something sustainable. We're postponing the crash.
I also believe that burnout isn't a single thing. It lives in your body, your mindset, and your business structure all at once. That's why addressing just one piece never quite works. Wellness, mindset, and practical strategy aren't separate conversations — they're the same conversation.
The women I work alongside don't need more information. You need a path that feels peaceful, not punishing.
(In case you want the official version)
My office manager is Millie — a 10-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier rescue who has claimed the title of Employee of the Month every single month since I adopted her. She does this entirely in pajamas. No one is investigating.
I'm a former competitive gymnast and springboard diver who became a recreational marathoner and triathlete, and who now just wants to feel good in her body. Yoga, hiking, and dancing take care of that — including the occasional living room dance party when nobody's watching.
I love a good psychological thriller, true crime (reading and TV only — I promise), and bourbon by a fire pit with my favorite people.
Here's the thing I want you to notice: I can answer the question "What do you do for fun?" without hesitating. I ask my clients that question a lot — and often I get a long pause.
If that's you, you're exactly who I built this for.
“Working with Monica is such a wonderful experience. She's straight-forward, kind, challenges you, and helps you make the best decisions. Oh, and she's funny, too!”
— Candi Ruppert, Owner, Sage Organizing Co.
“Monica's positive energy makes you feel comfortable immediately — like you've known her for years. It is clear after the first few minutes that she truly cares about each individual she works with.”
— Savannah Kennedy, Duo Digital
